George Brin Harris first found in Carteret County, NC in Sept 1747 when he made oath that he had in his family seven white persons.

Entered 8 Oct 1747 (Issued 6 oct 1748): Land Grant #416 in Craven County, NC. To George Brinn Harris 461 acres on the North side of the Neuse River between upper Broad Creek and Goose Creek (commonly known as Pitt's Neck). [NC Grants, Book 5, p. 307)

11 Feb 1750: Deed from George Brinn Harris of Carteret County to Thomas Carroway of Craven County. 460 acres on the North side of the Neuse River between upper Broad Creek and Goose Creek (begin at a pine N20E; 500p; to a pine s80e; 300p; to a pine to first station) proven March 1750 in Craven County. In Sept 1788 George Brin Harris is identified as over age and therefore granted insolvent for tax purposes.

Last entry found in Carteret County Records mentioning George Brin Harris was in Feb 1804.
