702 (Research):Soap Maker and Postal Officer

Der Seifensieder Heinrich Wilbrandt Pörtener (1759'961828) wird urkundlich erstmals 1818 als königlich hannöverscher Postspediteur und Posthalter erwähnt.

Old Postoffice: The Soap Maker Heinrich Wilbrandt Pörtener (1759-1828) was the first documented Royal Hannoverian postal carrier and postal operator in 1818. See additional notes on his great-grandfather Hermann Rudolph Wilbrand.

Wilbrand came from a wealthy and influential family in Bramsche. Marie Adelheid Steintker was a farmer's daughter from Achmer. As stated by Udo Niemann "The social distance between the famous family Pörtener in Bramsche and a farmers daughter from Achmer was too big to have chance for a marriage."
