• Notes

  Arrenia developed some childhood disease and she became deaf at an early age.  On the 1880 Census, she went to the school for the deaf in Oakland, Ca and that is where she met her husband. I also believe that Catherine, the daughter,  went to that school also.  Her second husband was deaf and that family believe that they also met at the school for the deaf, but I do not know if she was deaf.  Maybe other family members could attend school there to help their sibling.  (from Jill Cochell) 1900 Census she and her husband are in Shasta County, CA and she is listed as Irene (Research):.
