  Arrived in New York on 17 Sep 1852 aboard the ship "Espindola". Carl worked for the Indianapolis, Peru and Chicago Railroad as a Checkman after arriving in Indianapolis. His family lived on Merrill Street between Delaware and Alabama. He was holding his youngest son Albert when he suddenly passed the boy to his mother and then died. (Research):Sponser was Carl Arning of Meinsen #26, his father's brother-in-law.
