Notes - Rosalie Murphy was born Aug. 15, 1902, in Murphysboro to Lee and Rebecca Steele Loy. One sister, Juanita Blackwood of Murphysboro, survives. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
She married Harry F. Murphy on May 30, 1924 in Murphsyboro. He died November 26, 1954. Her children include Harry To, William H., John, and Amelia McCoy, all of Murphysboro and Doris Pisciotta of St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. Murphy was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 7190 in Murphysboro.
She died at the age of 80 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
