    • Harry F. "Nip" Murphy, 53, S. 9th St., died Friday morning at St. Andrew's Hospital. The cause of the death was listed as pneumonia. Mr. Murphy had been ill for the last four years.

      He was born in Murphysboro and had been a lifelong resient. He was employed by the Kathleen Coal Co. as a miner. He was a member of the UMWA, Eagles and Moose.

      Surviving are his wife, Rosalie; three sons, Harry T., William H., and John L.; two daughters, Doris Murphy and Amelia Murphy; a sister, Mrs. F. Oehlert; a brother, E. D. Murphy; and five grandchildren.
