Former Perry official
R. Ross Bradley dies
R. Ross Bradley, 74, former Supervisor of Assessments for Perry County, died today in Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Mr. Bradley lived at 913 Belle Ave., Pinckneyville.
He was born March 19, 1898, in Campbell Hill, the son of Richard Matteson and Marie Barber Bradley. He was married March 5, 1919, in Clayton, Mo., to Luella Mae Soper, who died July 4, 1958.
He was later married Aug. 12, 1960 in Denmark to Ruth Hallbaue.
Mr. Bradley was a member of the Denmark Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Steeleville, and the White Shrine and the Eastern Star.
Mr. Bradly was a retired district supervisor for the Utah Oil and Refining Co., and also a former administrator of relief and welfare in Perry County.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nadine Keech of Anderson, Ind.; a son, Robert of Macon, Mo; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren; and sister Ivan Bigham of Pinckneyville.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Denmark Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Holder officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Percy.
Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home in Pinckneyville after 5 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday.
Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
