Probate case number 18256 date filed 1891
The probate case files run from April 28, 1891 to July 5, 1901 John's wife Anna Maria was the original Executor, but she died February 29, 1900 before the case was closed, so her son Charles had to step in and get it closed. Apparently John died with out a will. C. Kadell was Anna's administrator. The estate lists water bills for both 1011 and 1013 High Street (formerly 13th Street), lots 19 & 20 with one two story brick house on them. There is even a court order to the sheriff for Anna to appear and file the required inventory, the note says her daughter-in-law says she has spent some weeks in Belleville, Ill. That is where her daughter Elise Stolberg was living. There is also an affidavit from Frederick Perschbacker, lending credence that this might be her maiden name, he signs as security that Anna will execute the estate of John. A Conrad Lang also signs the bond.
