    • Mr. Murphy served for four years in the Air Force as a staff sergeant. He was honorably dischard from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia on July 13, 1954. He served in the 405th Air Police Squadron.

      He worked at the former Edwards Hardware for 17 years and he retired from Wright Building center after 12 years of Service.

      He was a member of of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro.
