This must be Joseph's father Joseph, married to Sarah whose estate was administered in 1773. This sure looks like it probably set this family back. No wonder poor Joseph Jr. was searching for units to serve in the Rev. War so he could get some cash, and then looked to get out of Delaware as soon as he could after that.
This does tie Joseph Greenwood to Jonathan Greenwood since there is a deed where Jonathan bought 50 acres which involves a Rawlings in 1743. Not sure if this is one you found while we were in Dover or not.

In this set of books on Google Books, there are lots of mention of Phineas, Jonas (he was a surveyor), etc. I'm wondering if some of the references to Jonathan may show John as his name. In his estate administration which I looked at in Dover it was titled Jonathan, but on down in the thing it says John. Anyway, I'd like to look at the listings for John closer to be sure they refer to John the son of Jonas.

Knob Creek Church of Christ at Dukedom, Kentucky, was the first Restoration Church to use the name "Church of Christ". Some of the early settlers arriving in southern Graves County, Kentucky and northen Weakley County, Tennessee brought with them the teachings of Barton W. Stone and the "Christians Only" movement, and wanted to have a local church where they could worship. These settlers located John Parkhill from Calloway County, Kentucky and sent one of their members to summon him to help found the congregation. In June, 1834, Parkhill established the congregation, incorporating the "Christians Only" teachings of Stone and the "Reformed Baptist" teachings of Alexander Campbell, Stone and Campbell having merged their movements in 1832. The church was established in the home of member Simon Foy and his wife Charlotte Simms Foy, who had immigrated to the area in about 1828 from Limestone County, Alabama, and whose homestead was on Knob Creek, near the present Clinard farm. The first church building was erected in about 1845, south of the Foy homestead on the border between Kentucky and Tennessee, about a mile west of where the present building stands. Although no longer located on Knob Creek, the congregation retained the original name. This was the first Restorationist congregation to use the name "Church of Christ", a name now in use by hundreds of Restorationist congregations worldwide. The founding members were Simon and Charlotte Foy, their daughters Charlotte and Elizabeth, their sons James and William, John Johnson and his wife Elizabeth, and Uell Olive.

(Research):A conference was held in April (1837), when it was voted to ordain three elders viz. A. B. Wilson to take charge of that part of the conference that rein Tennesse [Tennessee], James Beaty for the same in Kentucky, and Alfred Loy, who soon after in company with others faom [from] that place at whose requst [request] I led from thence to Far West Mo.; for that is the name of the place where the church has located in Caldwell Co. at a distance of about thirty miles in nearly a northerly direction from Liberty Clay Co. My stay in that region was not over three weeks, as it became duty for me to leave there for this place: I journied [journeyed] by water from Liberty via. St. Louis and other intermediate places to Wellsville, occupying sixteen days from Liberty to Kirtland, being absent near eight months and travelled [traveled] in all by land and water over five thousand miles, preaching the word to thousands-many of whom had a desire to learn about the strange truth contained in the gospel of the Son of God. May their honest requests be satisfied in a good degree, while I may for a time be permitted to enjoy the society of an affectionate family and many worthy friends in this place. On the 29th of April I preached at Brother Crides and baptized and confirmed them. I put a crop in the spring of the year 1838 and then on the 11th day of June I started in company with Clapp and Alfred Lay and Radolph Alexander and Petty to preach again on my second mission. I took passage on the steamer Kansas at Jack Ferry in Ray County. I went to St. Louis then down the river and up the Ohio to Prode Ferry and then commenced our labors. I left Petty and Alexander at the mouth of the Tennessee River. We landed on the Kentucky side and went up into Warren County and Clapp and Lay left me. Excerpt from a letter written by Mrs. Minnie May Snyder (1875-1971) of Belleville, Illinois. She was the step daughter of Henry G. Loy. Her mother was Mary E. Bradley and her father was John W. Brashear who died when she was abt 2 years old. Her mother married Henry G. Loy when Minnie was about 5 years old so he was the only father she ever knew.

«i»"Dr. Alfred Loy was the oldest in the family and when they all went to California at the time of the Gold rush - Pa, the doctor, and several of their sisters were in the wagon train that crossed the plains in the covered wagons. It took them six months to make the trip out to California; one of Pa's sisters died and they had to leave her there and then when they got to Salt Lake City, Utah, they go mixed up with the Mormons and those who escaped had to go by night, and Dr. Loy was there when Pa would tell us about his trip across (but what ever became of him we do not know)"«/i»

    Notes:

Although information is limited for this family while in Illinois, two land records exist showing that James and Jane sold land in Jackson County in March and April 1852. It is thought that this was just prior to their move west. Along with Jane's siblings, Alfred, Barsheba, and Henry G., they traveled west about 1853. No more is known of James after the sale of land in 1852 but Jane and her daughters were living near Lewiston, Trinity County, California by 1870«i»
